We are all worthy of telling our stories and having them heard. We all need to be seen and honored in the same way that we all need to breathe.

A place to just be.
In my practice, I welcome those who don't fit into any kind of box — neurodivergent kids and adults, LGBTQ+ individuals and families, multicultural and bilingual families, and anyone navigating multiple, complex identities. I create an inclusive, affirming teletherapy space where you can let yourself, and your kids, just be.
Having been raised in a Spanish-speaking, multicultural, and LGBTQ+ family, I know firsthand the gifts and challenges of holding multiple identities. That personal experience, alongside my clinical training, is what drives my work — which is grounded in decolonizing, anti-oppression, and liberation-centered values.
My Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) with an MS in Couple & Family Therapy and a BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before becoming a therapist, I managed an NIH-funded research project on child development, parenting, and family resilience — work that sharpened my understanding of what families actually need to thrive.
I use an attachment and relational framework, integrating evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) — to help process and release stuck trauma responses
Internal Family Systems (IFS) — to explore the different parts of yourself with curiosity, not judgment
Somatic mind-body work — because the body often holds what words can't yet reach
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & expressive arts/play therapy — for children and teens navigating big emotions
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) & Gottman Method Couples Therapy — for couples building stronger, more connected relationships
I also hold a Certificate for Couple and Family Therapy for LGBTQ+ Clients and am trained in EMDR.
What it’s like to work with me
Clients have described me as "consistently caring and genuine," "knowledgeable, and direct when needed," and someone who "creates a warm, non-judgmental environment where growth can take place." I bring creativity to my work, think outside the box, and meet you where you are — whether you ease in slowly or dive straight in. My goal is always for you to feel safe enough to unpack your story and leave feeling more empowered than when you arrived.
