LGBTQ+ Community & Queer Families
A Space Where Every Part of You Is Welcome
Queer-affirming and culturally conscious therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Raised in a multicultural LGBTQ+ family, I bring lived experience and clinical expertise to my clients.
My practice recognizes and validates LGBTQ+ identities as healthy and normal, creating a safe space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment, shame, or pressure to change who they are.
Who I Work With…
I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, queer and poly couples, queer families, multicultural and interracial couples, and those holding multiple intersecting identities.
Gay, lesbian, bi, pan, trans, nonbinary, gender fluid, and gender expansive people
People practicing polyamory and ethical non-monogamy
Queer people of color navigating culture, family, and identity
Late-in-life queer individuals and those in straight-passing relationships
LGBTQ+ teens, young adults, and their families
Potential parents, adoptive parents and foster parents
Individual Therapy
You may be carrying minority stress, family rejection, internalized shame, or the fatigue of existing in systems not built for you. Therapy is a place to put that weight down.
Identity exploration, coming out, and gender identity at any life stage
Healing from internalized homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and minority stress
Anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, and trauma
Self-esteem, self-compassion, and sense of belonging
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Queer relationships have their own complexity. The tools developed for cisgender, heterosexual couples don't always translate — and I bring both training and personal understanding to this work.
Same-sex and queer couples navigating communication, intimacy, and conflict
Mixed orientation relationships, including partnerships navigating a gender transition
Polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships
Pre-marital and discernment counseling for queer couples
*I am sex and kink positive, have expertise with intimacy and providing sex therapy.
Queer Families
I work collaboratively with queer families.
Potential parents discussing reproductive options
LGBTQ+ parents and queer-led households
Families supporting a child or teen who is coming out or exploring identity
Partners of transgender or gender diverse individuals
Blended, adoptive, and chosen families navigating queer identity
LGBTQ+ Teens & Young Adults
LGBTQ+ young people face challenges that peers, schools, and families don't always understand. I work with teens to build an authentic life.
Explore identity safely and build confidence and self-acceptance
Develop coping skills and emotional regulation
Process rejection, bullying, or discrimination
Strengthen communication with parents, family members, and caregivers and boundaries
