Eleanor (Elli) Kerlow

College Essay Coach

As a published author, journalist, editor, publicist, content producer, and media coach, Elli focuses on telling stories, sharing lessons, and creating emotional connections with audiences to make an impact.

She works through college essay questions to help students find their own stories and voices. She develops essay outlines and timelines, and reviews drafts from concept to completion. She also advises on video submissions.

Elli enjoyed a nearly 40 year career in legal journalism and public relations, winning numerous awards. Her book on Harvard Law School, published by St. Martin’s Press, cast new light on controversies at the school in the early 1990’s.

Elli received her BA in Government and Spanish literature, from Lawrence University, in Appleton, WI. She received her JD from George Washington University School of Law, in Washington, DC.

Isabella Calamari

Academic Tutor

Isabella Calamari is a Marriage and Family Therapist candidate who has expertise working with diverse families and neurodiverse clients. She also works under the supervision of Marina Kerlow, who brings 10 years of tutoring experience working with neurodiverse children and teens.

Isabella received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Brain Sciences and Communication from George Washington University College of Arts and Sciences, in Washington, DC. She earned her Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Syracuse University, in New York. She participated in internships to provide children with learning and therapy support, helping kids build real confidence in themselves and their learning abilities.

She has expertise tutoring elementary and middle school children in Biology, Math, English and Spanish. She also has past experience tutoring adult clients on how to read again after injuries. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she enjoys teaching kids Spanish and working with kids in both English and Spanish. She enjoys helping children, teens and adults improve their self-esteem and grow in their learning.
