Neurodiversity Therapy & Executive Functioning Coaching
-
Neurodiversity-affirming therapy recognizes ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent ways of thinking as natural variations of the human brain, and focuses on support, self-understanding, and strengths rather than trying to "fix" or change who you are.
-
Focus areas can include: regulating emotions, improving social relationships, and developing better organizational skills. We also may work on executive functioning skills such as how to plan, prioritize, and manage your time, how to maintain focus, self-assess, and study or work efficiently.
-
As a neurodiverse therapist and coach, I have found it helpful to include in-the-moment activities during sessions, such as roleplaying and actively tackling tasks that you might be avoiding or procrastinating. This can help provide both the support and accountability needed to reach your goals.
